More success at Station Place and Merchant Park

Jonathan Simpson of Station Place letting agent Connect Property North East has now secured lettings and firm interest for the new development at Station Place.

Jonathan commented “Station Place is a high specification development of small units ranging from 3,000 sq ft. Despite the challenges in the economy, we have witnessed continued interest for space at Station Place, with several buildings now under offer. Which is not only testament to the quality of the development, but the general lack of availability on the business park and the wider area.”

Station Place is a new development completed in November last year by Merchant Park Property Holdings and comprises of 50,000 sqft in units from 3,100 sqft to 8,700 sqft. It was sold to the Waypoint Government Income Fund and is now being marketed by Connect Property North East and managed by Business Durham, the business support service for Durham County Council Business Durham’s experienced team have a track record of managing units and properties across the county and supporting businesses county wide.

“We are delighted with the progress at Merchant Park. In addition to the success at Station Place, Hall Construction has now commenced work on Durham Animal Feed’s 34,500 sqft warehouse next to Station Place. This in turn allows us to focus our attention on the next phase of 266,000 sqft adjacent to the Hitachi Rail Manufacturing Plant.

We will shortly be submitting a planning application for 268,000 sqft, comprising 52,500 sqft, 89,000 sqft and 126,500 sqft together with supporting infrastructure.
